Caribbean Cruise-Part 4 "St. Maarten"
Our last destination...ST. MAARTEN. This was the hottest and most humid day the entire week! Even though it was HOT, we had fun walking around the shops near the port with Grammy.
Grammy's such a great sport when her daughter-in-law asks her to put a hat on so I can take a picture. She's so fun!
Instead of excursions, we decided to go to the beach. Since when do we get to go to the beach in Colorado? We had so much fun at the beach in St. Thomas, we wanted to do it again. Instead of taking a taxi, we took the 15 minute walk outside of the port. I loved all the palm trees.
We found more places to shop, near the beach. We also found a Haagen Dazs and bought some strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Yum!
Water felt so refreshing! Aunt Katie let us take her floatie with us on our trip and Cassidy really enjoyed that. Especially riding the small waves to shore. She couldn't stop giggling. I loved watching her excitement!

Took a taxi boat back to the pier to get back on the ship. But before we did we bought some T-shirts and a fun frame from the stores at the port. Cassidy fell in love with an iguana stuffed animal, so we had to get that too. She named him "Beanie". The rest of the time on the ship she took him everywhere with her. It was funny to see other children with stuffed animals from Kung Fu Panda, or Mermaids, Dolls, etc but not Cassidy. I love my girl who loves dragons, dinosaurs, and iguanas, oh and cheetah's.

Caribbean Cruise-Part 3 "St. Thomas"
View of St. Thomas from the Restaurant on the ship. After we ate breakfast we took the elevator down to get off the ship. We planned to have a Beach Day. We took a taxi to Coki beach that also had an Underwater Aquarium right next door. Grammy did some more shopping. :)
Fun Dreamworks Breakfast Menu
Chocolate Milkshakes for Breakfast
We first checked out some shops near the pier. Then we jumped on a taxi. View from Taxi window. Our Taxi driver was crazy...I can't believe the narrow roads and the driver was going SO fast. Sometimes I had to close my eyes. But the view was beautiful, going up the mountain. I wish we could have pulled over to take some better pictures.
Cassidy has only been to one other beach in her life-Galveston, Texas when she was 2 yrs old. And she still talks about that experience, and LOVED it!
So she couldn't wait to get to the beach and was super excited! The beach was the highlight of our day. We were going to go to the Aquarium too but decided to just play hard at the beach. Derek and I took turns snorkeling. That was my first time, and I was so glad I did it. I loved looking at all the colorful fish, coral, and sand crabs. The water was gorgeous and so clear you could see down to the bottom. It was like being in a swimming pool. I love the Caribbean!

Not many people at all! We were the only cruise ship at each port every-time.

Having the time of our lives...Can we bring the beach back home with us???

Cassidy and I did some last minute shopping and purchased new bag/purses from the shops
Watching our Ship leave port, bye St. Thomas. Back out to sea. Cassidy especially enjoyed the ship horns. As she covered her ears. Smile Grammy!

Carribean Cruise-Part 2 "Bahamas"
Our first destination...BAHAMAS

Straw Market- Where you can bargain shop for authentic things. Found a bracelet here for my sister Lina. I just remember Derek being a good sport looking at things with me and being the only man in the market while all the other men were sitting outside waiting for their women to finish shopping.
We bought Cassidy a doll from the Bahamas. She named her "Flower". Of course, she had to introduce Flower to Kaley, her favorite doll that she had to bring from home.
It was Memorial Day. Taking the long walk down the pier to the island. We spent a short time in the Bahamas, before we had to board the ship. So we just walked around and explored the shops.
